Dr. Felipe is a board-certified family physician, accredited by both the Mexican Council of Family Medicine and the American Academy of Family Medicine. His career began with a comprehensive medical education at the Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo (UMSNH), where he earned his MBBS degree, followed by a Family Medicine residency at the Universidad Autónoma de Yucatán (UADY), where he obtained his MD, and further training at the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS).
While at IMSS, he held pivotal roles as an intern, resident, and clinical physician, delivering care in Family Medicine Units across Michoacán and Yucatán, including underserved rural communities. These experiences underscore his dedication to equitable healthcare access and his vision of reinforcing primary care as the cornerstone of the healthcare system.
Currently, Dr. Felipe serves as a Medical Science Liaison with Amphora Health and as a Professor of Biomedical Informatics at the School of Medicine at Montrer University in Morelia. He is also the coordinator of the Health Data Science Diploma Program at Anahuac International School of Medicine and a faculty member for the International Diploma in Clinical Trial Management and Conduct at the Autonomous University of Baja California. Additionally, he is part of a research team at a CONAHCYT-CIATEJ Center, where he leads projects on real-world data utilization and advanced methodologies for clinical studies. He focuses on integrating technology and artificial intelligence into primary care, fostering strategic collaborations between academia, the pharmaceutical industry, and healthcare institutions to drive global health transformation.
