Dr. Karina Figueroa

Dr. Figueroa holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Chile, along with a Master’s and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo (UMSNH), where she currently serves as a professor and researcher.
She is a member of the National System of Researchers (SNII), with academic work amassing over 860 citations in specialized fields such as information retrieval and computer vision.
Regarding academic leadership, she served as President of the Mexican Society of Computer Science and acts as Editor-in-Chief of the scientific journal Komputer Sapiens.
