Dr. Álvarez brings over 30 years of clinical experience at the Mexican Institute for Social Security (IMSS), focusing his research on chronic kidney disease, diabetes, and obesity within the Mexican population.
He serves as a Professor of Medicine at the Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo (UMSNH), his alma mater, where he previously held the position of Academic Secretary.
His scientific rigor is validated by his membership in the National System of Researchers (SNII), combining robust medical practice with high-level academic research.
