Dr. Cleto Alvarez Aguilar is a dedicated clinical researcher with a keen interest in chronic kidney disease, diabetes, hypertension, and obesity, particularly within the Mexican population.
He earned his medical degree from Michoacan University of Saint Nicholas of Hidalgo (UMSNH) and is currently a Medicine Professor there. Dr. Alvarez Aguilar is also a member of the National Researchers System (SNI), highlighting his commitment to advanced research and academic excellence.
Throughout his esteemed career, he has made valuable contributions to the medical field. In addition to his research endeavors, Dr. Alvarez Aguilar has taken on significant roles, including that of Associate Dean for Education. His expertise and passion make him a respected figure in both medical research and education.
Dr. Alvarez is also an experienced clinician with more than 30 years of experience at the Mexican Institute for Social Security (IMSS).
