Pavel Salazar-Fernández is a biotechnologist who specialized in using advanced technology to understand the genetic makeup of human populations. He earned his degree in Biotechnology Genomics from the Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon (UANL) and holds a master’s degree in Integrative Biology from the National Laboratory for Genomic Biodiversity (LANGEBIO).
Pavel’s past projects included exploring the genetic diversity of Polynesian populations, studying ancient DNA, and identifying genomic selection signals in Mexican Indigenous populations. Originally from Chihuahua in Northern Mexico, Pavel has a keen interest in board games and role-playing games (RPGs). His current work focuses on bioinformatics for genetic ancestry estimation.
